- Hosta – Hosta are shade loving perennials with large leaves adding a tropical look to your garden. Different varieties offer many shades variegated and solid green to add contrast in flower beds. All Hosta sport shoots of light or purple or white flowers in summer, some reaching 6’ in the larger varieties.

- Coral Bells – A medium sized ruffled leaf perennial with most varieties growing around 18-24” tall and wide. New varieties of Coral Bells come in many foliage colors from bright lime green, to yellow, purple, red, and bronze. Pairing these plants with Hosta in beds provide amazing color and texture contrast to brighten up darker areas.

- Lenten Rose – One of the few evergreen perennials. This plant does keep its leaves year round and flowers in February. The flowers then last for months eventually turning green resembling leaves.

- Astillbe – Also called False Spirea this beautiful ferny textured perennial sports large feathery plumes of flowers above the foliage. Flower colors come in white pink and red. A very easy plant even for the beginner gardener.

- Cardinal Flower – This plant prefers more moist locations but will do well with regular watering. The showy red flowers attract humming birds. Foliage can range in color to add variety.
